Shoebox

In an effort to both celebrate children's creativity and allow their voices and perspective to be heard and seen, Kids Company gave 125 children aged between 8 and 10 a shoebox and asked them to recreate their bedroom or another room from their home.  The children attend a primary school in Peckham, one of London's most deprived areas.  The website is worth a look.
